HOLLYWOOD

Dreams and rolling hills surround the distance that cuts my hands

I am tied to you with a phone cord

And sometimes the sound of your voice is only a sharp edge, another raw reminder, a cross country calamity

of all the pain that reins over my heart and swelters in my soul

The sound of your voice encourages wild thoughts

and insecurity

Across too many miles, your voice whispers goodbye and leaves me alone with my tears

It makes perfect sense. :) I really enjoy this one as well. I don't have personal expierience with it but I can feel it.
I like the third line "And sometimes the sound of your voice is only a sharp edge, another raw reminder, a cross country calamity"

Like Eric there, the phone cord thing really caught my attention. Good good good.
