Learning to Dance

Folder:

her pretty curls flow. the smile on her face glows. she's always in the know; what to do and where to go.

she'll never admit she's in a pit; felling like she's been hit. she's had enough of it.

she's tired of hoping for chage. it's always out of range. it will never be the same; not since the day he came.

most don't see, but looking is key. she'll never be the same as you and me.

to the world she's an outcast, she has a dark hidden past. much longer she won't last... she needs an escape- and fast.

anything to relieve her pain, nothing more for her to gain. she's no longer normal or sane... infact, she's dancing in the rain.

she realized that life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, but leaning to dance in the rain .

no pain in the rain as she dances again waiting for another rain to wash away her pain.

No offense but, when I read

No offense but, when I read this the first thing I thought of was in the Captain America movie when the main actress asks Steve Rogers why he doesn't dance; his reply was that he's waiting for the right partner. lol It's funny how the little answers mean so much more. Dancing in the rain... brings back so many memories; cold, dark, painful, but very dear. Thanks for writing this poem. It's reminding me to wait for the "right partner." :D
