like the shadows of my soul

entice my heart with your wild eyes

and i breathe once more

for you



passion

a feeling i've missed

something i have felt

unworthy of

for so long



you've given me the gift of sight



your gentle stride carried me away

into the sunlight where i felt safe,

whole,

alive



the cold seemed to leave

because you were there to warm my sould



our time together

brief,

but left a feeling

so eternal
