One Life

Another day another disappointment

Take what you will and fuck all the judgment

You are your own

You are your own

Put one foot in front of the other

And not towards a shallow grave

Does it kill you to be alive?

How many times have you tried?

Does it kill you to be alive?

One more mistake and we are surely dead

And there's no time left for repentance

When the ghost in the mirror disappears

We are left with questions unanswered

When did it become complicated

Serrated eyes now faded

Why are you still alive

Why am I still alive

Far better men have died

Pursuing their love of life

Does it kill you to be alive?

How many times have you tried?

Does it kill you to be alive?

How many times have you tried?

Nailed it

That was an epic read, I'm glad I saw this very good sir, the piece pulls you with the questions. The " you are your own" especially hit, but if like to know the context to which this was written about, up until the "one more mistake we are surely dead" I thought I was following perfectly. Anyways very good read sir.
