We stare at the tear in the sky
Unknowingly we put it on a pedestal
Worshipping what is impossible for any man to know
We bathe in mystery
Refusing to let it go
Your poison words sink into my veins
Inhebriated by petty notions
Dragged across countless oceans
I still feel sick
It was never meant to go this far
Countless bodies lost in the dark
It was never meant to go this far
Diluted and desensitized
To failed cogs in the machine
Unable to yield results
Unholy doubts considered blasphemy
Conspiracy vs Blasphemy

interestingly, I read this poem 3x. I like the format, openness in ideas was refreshing. I am an unwavering Christian, but a poet too. ~A~
I'm not trying to persuade
I'm not trying to persuade religion or anti-religion on anybody. I am not an atheist by any means either. Thank you for your feedback!
