Butterfly Garden
Water dripping quietly
On stones green with algae
As green as high summer's foliage
And almost as warm
The scent of a thousand flowers
Stirred by a million butterfly wings
Over the rustle of the leaves
The grass sounds like wind chimes
I never noticed that before
I lie on the damp moss
Made sleepy by such mild sounds
While a million shimmering flowers
Hover only inches above the stems
Lovely, serene and sweet! A very magical write and expression. Great job! Thank you for sharing!
I'm a sucker for nature poems, and this one is great! Love the words to this one!
