All the dreams you have given me,

the life you have shared with me

add up to so much more-

than what we have given up,

I don't dream in my sleep,

I dream awake when you are next to me.

I wish I could let you see,

yourself in the clarity of my sight.



If eyes are the windows of the soul,

then yours must be the most amazing,

I have ever seen.

Green and electric,

soft, and yet so vibrant,

every time I look in your eyes,

I see what we can be.

The future and my everything.



A woman who can create angels,

and tame the beast in me.

If you exist then so must god,

I know then that he made you just for me.

then took the mold that made you,

replaced my heart with it,

and set it on fire for eternity.



Without you love,

I don't see much point in anything.

the life of a shadow,

in the midday sun

no way to hide from the light

that you have shed on my life.

Every beat of my heart,

the very blood in my veins,

is whispering your name.
