The Moon

The cresent moon

Slips in a bath of starlight

And muddles for awhile

Dipping its head

Bobbing the crystaline surface

It was just you and me then

And nothing else seemed to matter

I should have payed more attention

Should have said that i loved you

But i never thought love could leave

Without you ever invoking it

The full moon

Holds still like an eye

Confident and powerful

Bright and motherly

Cold and lonely

Its just me now

And nothing seems to really matter
