I was dancing in a meadow
I was kicking up my shadow
I drew pictures in the clouds
That's when I knew, your heart was a sky
I was leaving real soon
I was going off to see what I was made of
I was standing packing my nerves
That's when I knew, your heart was a sky
I was standing on the sea docks
You never said goodbye
I tried to look behind your eyelids
I tried to see beyond your lips
But then I smiled
That's when I knew, your heart was a sky
I've been gone for a long time
I ended up sitting on a bench for a while
Waiting on a bench we both knew
That's when I knew
Your heart was a sky
Lift up my eyes
Lift up my soul
Lift up my eyes
Lift up my soul
Lift up my eyes
Lift up my eyes
Take me where the flowers grow in outer space
Take me where the flowers grow
In outer space
Where the flowers grow
So that I could reach your face
Take me where the flowers grow in outer space
This is very emotionally
This is very emotionally evocative!

I wrote it on an acoustic
I wrote it on an acoustic guitar in an empty room where i could sing as loud and as free as the birds.
I basically just slammed on the strings and threw my hair around writing whatever came to mind.
Very impressive indeed.
Very impressive indeed.
