Sorry

I'm sorry that I love you,

And I'm sorry that I care,

I'm sorry that when I see you all I do is stare,

But this heart of mine is breaking,

And the spilled blood, it stains,

And will you say you love me too,

And take away these pains?

Not knowing who you're with,

Or who's holding you tonight,

When I know it should be me with you,

It just doesn't feel right.

Trying to forget you,

Just 'cause you're happy that I'm gone,

Leaving you behind is hard,

I really can't move on.

So I'm sorry that I love you,

And I'm sorry that I care,

I'm sorry that when I see you all I do is stare,

But this heart of mine is breaking,

And the spilled blood, it stains,

And will you say you love me too,

And take away these pains?

Author's Notes/Comments:

Kind of a song. I had a band / melody in mind. It'll be gone by morning.

Hey. This is definatley my favourite so far... I think it might be because I relate to it with my ex girlfriend, or it might be because you're just putting more real emotion into it. To me, it doesn't matter about the poetry in particular, as long as you put the emotion down. Which is where you are stronger, and I fall... I write most my poems fictionaly and they have a staged feel. But this one nearly made me cry, but not fully... cos I'm a big tough guy.
