I just wanted you to know that I see you

Even though life has detoured your path

With some of the ugliest and most painful situations of wrath

I just wanted you to know what I see

And that I understand ALL that I see

I even over stand all that I feel the very essence of you to truly be

I just wanted you to realize that I recognize who & what you really are

Adorned and camouflaged by deep abrasions, bruises and scars

Your past a colorful array of the good and the bad

Always accompanied by the happy and the sad

Never leaving you with a timely moment to pause

As you proclaim the reality of your imperfections

Identifying your mistakes

Never trying to disguise your flaws

Circumstances repetitively jeopardizing your peace

With cruel intentions heavily personified

By the negativity of others

And the demeaning behaviors they attempt to hide

I just wanted you to know

That even when you cannot see you - I can

That even when you cannot feel you - I will

And that even when you don?t want to - I will help you

Because that is the type of woman I am

And inside of this woman - you will always have a friend...
