Somewhere Better
I’ve grown dizzy I have fallen
Words just drip from my lips
While I try to confess
Thoughts of ceasing to exist
Sometimes you can’t sit through the movie
And take a chance that there’s no twist
But the longer I sit I remember
That the world it still spins
And I’ve been lectured on spirits
And they try to sell me faith
I guess I can’t afford your answers
But it’s a thought I still can’t shake
So now I'm perched like a bird
And I’ll be here till the winter
Because I’ll either freeze to death
Or I will migrate to somewhere better
