A couple of nights ago I was sitting here playing spades… quite mundane really, as I still don’t have an internet connection and had to resort to playing with the moronic computer players.



But what made this total waste of time memorable was the fact I was quite stoned, listening to Atom Heart Mother.



Now, in this game there is an in-built cheering sound at the end of a game, provided you win.



It was towards the end of the game that I held off playing the very last card, until the grand finale of the song…



The timing was impeccable…



Atom Heart Mother finally got the standing ovation it deserves.



I giggled to myself…



For once cynicism and sarcasm played no part in my amusement.
