Hip hip hooray....today is Mother's day.
We will honor and celebrate you in each and every way.
Today is our day to celebrate all that you are.
You will be adored by loved ones both near and afar.
You will be showered with an abundance of love, hugs and kisses.
You will be pampered like the queen that you are and heaven forbid anyone that misses.
The world will acknowledge all your contibutions that allowed us all to be here.
You deserve every bit of attention you get because you are truly just that dear.
You are responsible for each and everyone of us that is a given fact.
It is our pleasure to give you your roses and observe in aww at how emotional you react.
Sit back and relax and let us show you our gratitude.
Please don't judge us that wouldn't dare try to copy your mastery in the kitchen if we opt to take you out to celabrate with food.
We embrace each of your countless roles, from single head of household to partners in crime wives.
We love you, we need you and we truly understand the important values you have given to our lives.
You literally are the birth of our nation and we thank you for all you do.
We know for a fact that we were nothing until you blessed us with life, an extension of you.
For those who's mothers have already left this earth you can still celebrate.
The good, the bad and even the ugly memories are yours forever and impossible to duplicate.
Not all mothers are motherly they're all unique in their own way.
But when it is all said and done, the lessons we have learned via our interactions with our mothers or lack there of, have shaped us into who we are today.
Thank you mom, step moms, aunties, foster moms, grand moms and every variation of a mother.
We know you allowed us to experience this thing called life the titled owned by no other.
