Change and Transformation

Things change in a forward motion

Transformation there must be,

Streams rush to the open ocean,

So attracted by the sea

Styles do change in poetry

Change in structure and format

Pattern and category

Change like birds their habitat.

Bishops change and cardinals,

Popes change too, - they come and go,

Market squares and city halls,

Change without too much ado.

Dignitaries, presidents

Come and go and alternate.

Change do undergo the lands

Populations will migrate.

Customs change and etiquette.

And great sages come and go

Those that grieve today and fret

Will with joy tomorrow glow.

People change, - old friends betray,

Hearts are broken, hearts are thrilled,

Winter changes into May.

Some will live and some be killed.

Leaving is a form of death,

Suffering departure's woes,

Make space for the numious,

As from seedling springs the rose.

Caterpiller !  cocoon banned

Transformation is so nigh

Lo! an unseen loving hand

Makes of you a butterfly.

Perspectives change, perceptions too

What is held as truth today,

Tomorrow is no longer true,

As different prophets have their say.

Steady is the flux of life,

Inorexable its thrust,

Though so puzzling the archive

Of the future and the past.

One will never change - the Mover

Who controls the human lot,

Changeless the Eternal Lover,

Man, you are en route to  God.
