1,000 Miles In Reverse

Folder:
Zuh? I Am Human

Push the rewind button to which the table cloth

is once more rubicund and stained on my account.

The mess on the floor, as well as the cries, anger,

shouts, and screams, I did not realize until this moment,

at the time, the cacophony I've made.

Searching for recoup as I walk 1,000 miles in reverse,

more and more I have seen of me to hang the head low.

Backward steps in slow motion each faulty action,

minor and grand, serve like a mob of goblins amassing

in thousands at my door stating:

"Hey you, were what you've done!" while demanding repentence

absolute.

I cover my eyes.  I've seen enough.

1,000 miles I'm propelled to today.

Valuable lessons I've now learned

that reflect I'm human after all.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Prose  /  There are mistakes I've made both little and big I wish I can go return to and fix.  There are hurtful things I wish I didn't say to others but what's done is done.  Everyone thinks me always a considerate and composed person 100% of the time but just to let you know I too make mistakes and am still learning.  Therefore, I'm not perfect.
