To Regret Silently

You are the password to my yesteryear and before.

That single keyword although for years unspoken.

I acted far away, turned my back as you left

yet my thoughts venture back to that day.

Turn the lock in the music box you're there

even when you live across the waters.

Therein I find the fading dream in the corner

piercing to the susceptible heart of mine.

Tra la la la la-la la Tra la la la la-la la

I see you in that dream, I'm lost and forlorn.

Tra la la la la-la la Tra la la la la-la la

I watch the music box jest that lonesome tune.

Wherever you are, I send you these thoughts unbidden.

Far too easily, so far away they become whispers.

I fear you cannot hear them traveling on moonshine

the love I felt for you as you walked away.

You're back with a new written material called "To Regret Silently"!! I really love this one, even though it is sad. Was this based on something that truly happened in real life?
