God Sent Me A Friend (Rhyme)

God sent me a gift

and that was you

because I was lonely

With nothing else to do

A friend to give cheers

when my Life is down

A friend to bring smiles

when mine is a frown

I’m glad I met you

out of billions in the world

for it can be cold

without another soul in sight

It is warmer now

to be able to talk

to someone besides myself

on a snowy day

Thanks for being a friend.

I won’t forget a person’s kindness.

I won’t forget a person’s words.

I hope you don’t forget me

down the road in Life…

I love this poem and in many ways i can relate to what you are saying because i met my best friend at a time in my life when i was asking God to send me a friend. I wouldn't trade my best friend for anything in this world and I would give her the cloths on my back if she needed it. Great work Adam! and keep writtinf cause i enjoy reading your work!
