Fly Away (Rhyme)

I have you in my palms

My lovely little butterfly

Tickling me as you crawl

Then off away into the sky

You swim on dusty twilight

Flowing with tempered ease

I too dream of flight

And follow with silver wings

Watching a colored blur recede

Then disappear off to the Moon

Breath in a peaceful breeze

To awaken this memory soon

And freedom in the firmament

Where one glides to simply be,

Our timely meeting is heaven sent

I see why you flew to me

Fly away...

An unexpected ending. It worked well. I found the flow very nice. Just two lines I think would provide better flow, the third stanza just leaving at 'awaken this memory', and fourth stanza 'our timely meet'. Anyway, always easy to play the 'couch critic'. lol. I do enjoy your work.

As I read this poem, I felt like it's about fate that leads you to a certain kind of person to meet, and when it's their time to go, they leave you all of a sudden. I really like this poem that you wrote called, "Fly Away". It's really good!! =)

I like this poem a lot. I do have a problem with it though. My problem is it wasn't in my mailbox for me to read. I'd like for you to send me poems as you post them. I'd like to read and comment as you add. Please, consider it for me. Thanks.
