I'm Following You, Friend (Rhyme)

A chilly night I sit alone on the road

My fatigued spirit is so down-hearted

The Moon sends me a blanket of snow

To enshroud my lonesome tears granted

I lift up my head to see you come

Hurriedly with a mug of hot cocoa in hand

Surprised you came out here all numb

Out of breath on white silky sand

A smile appears to comfort my face

Did you come here to keep me company?

Wherever I am, even if on the moonscape

You journey from afar to be beside me

For hours you remain to cheer my heart

I can see the warmth around me hover

It's not cold anymore when you depart

'Cause I see you're a true friend forever.

really like this, can't tell if the moon sent you a spirit of joy or if someone in this realm came to join you. Either way it shows impact of emotion no matter which way it was generated..

This is a very interesting poem, and I really mean that!! I like what you had to say in which you've put into words, the feelings that describe how when you feel lonely, you'd unexpectedly see someone who comes around to comfort, and I could only imagine that would be the greatest feeling in the world. Keep writing!! You're very talented, I can tell!! =)

Interesting poem. What most interests me about this piece is that you can't tell if it's a spirit visiting you or an actual person. Either way it's something special and rare. Good friends are very hard to find and even harder to keep, but you've managed to do both. That's truly a blessing. Keep the new poems coming.
