Life But A Dream

The ocean tide lulls me to sleep

gravitating my mind

to a reunification of reality and fantasy.

Watch successive images blend to a dream

and help synthesize a story.

Flying nimbly within the night air

I float on a silk cloud

to set sail to the receptive Moon

and it's landing.

Stars recline against the heavens

as I submerge into space.

Weightless, during nocturnal flight,

I swim to the surface and breath at last.

Steadily I land.

Then, instantaneously, I awake

finding that I am a dream of another.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Just as Shakespeare has said that life is but a stage.  What if life is but a dream dreamt by none other than a higher source such as God?  Or how about the imagination?  Just a thought of mine I had since last night.

It's interesting to know that this poem is in a way, kind of like the poem that I wrote called, "This Life, A Dream". =)

It's also really interesting to know that we both wrote a poem that was somewhat similar, don't you think?

It's an interesting poem, and I really loved reading it!!
