Me:  You see the surface of the lake over there?

       That was me once...

       Tranquil.  Still.

       Then this happened.



(throws a heavy stone which dives into the lake)



       The water churns and ripples.

       What happened to the water, that's what I became.



(?): However if you stay long enough,

       you can watch it go back to being still again;

       back to being tranquil.



Me:  Yet the stone is under there.

       It's now become part of the lake.

       It might look the same as it did before

       but forever it's changed.
