Inadequate Praises

Put into my heart a song

Let me lift my praise to you

Give me a sonnet to sing

So that I may join flaming tongues above

Oh seraphim, I envy you

Oh cherubim, I wish I had your place

My heart is thrilled with raptured songs

My soul searches for speechless praise

How awesome is your love

Not even the angels can sing of all your majesty

Let the galaxies tell of your mighty hand

Let the cell sing of your infinte wisdom

Let me sing of your redeeming grace

Author's Notes/Comments:

No human praise is adequate enough to accuratly praise God for all His works. For those who do not know, only humans can praise Jesus' redeeming love. Not angels, not nature, only humans.
When I try to describe my appreciation for God, I'm so speechless get jumbled up and my thoughts jump around; this is reflected in the poem.

Very, very good. I read this last week but didn't get to comment on it. I think this one is my favorite.
