She Thinks (She Does Not Know)

Blinded to her own mistakes

She carries on as she has done before

Not yet knowing what lies ahead

Blind to the tragic times in store.

A victim to a simple pleasure

Numbed from the endless, ongoing pain

She thinks that everything will be all right

She thinks there will be no loss and all gain

She thinks she is bigger then her current disaster

She thinks she's responsible, safe, and clean

When I inform her of dangers lurking in the unknown

She says she does not know what I mean

Maybe she hasn't seen what I've seen

Maybe she honestly does not know

Maybe she will have to fall hard

To discover the troubles waiting below

Not an abuse in her own mind

Not a distraction from what needs to be done

No separation from her and her love

No reason to believe it is a battle not won

Day after day i try to make her see

The way of the Lord is the way she should go

She thinks that i worry, and that i do not understand

But I love her more then she will ever know
