Two Weeks

All sent out and none returned

Why don't I hear from you?

I remember times where i sat by the phone

and waited the whole night through

But it wasn't that bad

I could live with it you know

But what ever happened

To calling two weeks ago?

I punched your number and heard your voice

Long about Holloween

But it didn't take me long to find

It was only your damned machine

So I went out

And let it go

But what ever happened

to calling two weeks ago

They say revenge and getting back

Won't get you anywhere

They say that killing with kindness

Is the way to go from here

So you better respond

To the ringer on the phone

Because today's your 16th birthday

Though it was mine two weeks ago.

I won't say names, the person I wrote this for will know it's her when she reads it... I think.  Anyway, I hope you like it.  Clay

Clay~
I had to comment agian on this poem. It is that beautiful and profound. You write best from pure emotion, if it be love, hate, anger or hurt. You write best when you write from these. Remeber that! I love you

Hey hun. Good job . . a wonderfully written poem. A shame that you had a reason for writing it though.
Forever and always,
