As long as you try you'll never understand me.
You can dissect me for hours and you still won't see.
How my heart breaks, as I'm without you.
How my heart aches, as I'm lost without you.

I can't rinse your taste out.
I can't prevent the fallout.
I can only hold myself together so long,
before I feel like I don't belong.

You speak to me in dreams that will never come true.
I invision you, and my grayest skies turn blue.
An unattainable goal is all you are,
A beautiful rose that's left me with a deep scar.

You give me shivers as we talk at night,
you give me the eye and I think I see the light.
As you speak my name, I lose my breath..
but I'm just a memory you put to rest.
Crushed under the weight of 1,000 lies.
Never again can we turn back time...
