You tell me to fight for the moment,

You tell me to live for the now,

And I try so hard to just do that,

But it's not as you make it sound.



You tell me that it's worth it,

You tell me that you're happy,

And I try so hard to forget that,

You haven't ever loved me.



You tell me to breathe in deeply,

You tell me to laugh out loud,

And I try to be rid of the weight,

The pain in which I'll drown.



You tell me that I'm wonderful,

You tell me that it's not me,

And I try to push out the demons,

But your love I remain to see.



You tell me to remember always,

You tell me to not regret,

And I try to think positively,

But I know that our fate is set.



You tell me that we're here,

You tell me that we're alive,

And I try to smile ouwardly,

But I can't stop crying inside.
