What happens when you meet someone that seems perfect? 

Their humor, their beliefs, their fears are all like yours.  

We almost seem to be the same person.  

Yet, you can't have them.  

They aren't dating anyone,but you know the two of you 

will never be.  

Could you and me ever become a we?  

Probably not,

but the thought is nice to hold at night.  

Just the two of you sitting there in your togetherness.  

I see it so clearly.  

A severe case of what is and what can never be.  

Our minds might beat on the same rhythm. 

Our hearts might stop at the same nightmares.  

You.

Me.

But never we.
