I'm sorry for all the things

that I have done

I was trying to be somebody

to be someone



I just needed to hear you say

that you were proud of me

and that I had become

what you always wanted me to be



All I wanted to hear you say

was that you knew

that I was going to

make it big someday



You could have lied to me

if that's what you had to do

I was just a kid back then

and all I ever needed was you



I have grown now

and things are no longer the same

I now realise that

you are not the only one to blame
