You slowly closed your eyes
never to open them again
you just laid there so peacefully
finally free of all your pain
You spread your wings
and flew far away
your soul had left your body
on a quest for a new place to stay
I know that you have gone
to a better place now
and I know deep in my heart
that I will see you again somehow
you always promised me
to wait for me on the other side
and someday I will join you
when life decides the time is right
I will meet you with arms wide open
and enter your fairytale land
and I will see you once more
just as I have planned
I will tell you about
all the things I have seen
and I'll show you pictures
from all the places I have been
I will tell you about all the things
that have been going on
we will talk for hours
and stay up all night long
You said that you were going to be
a star high up in the sky
because that way you would be able to
always look after my sister and I

you have saved a seat for me
because right now in this moment
that's the only place I long to be

I just want to say that this poem went straight to my heart. It's so well written that I can feel the emotions behind every word.
I had a sister once who died and I often speak to her when I'm feeling sad or lonely. She's like the only one I've got. And I've used most of your sentences before I read this poem. So that's what touched me a lot. Especially the last part of the poem. I've really said that a lot of times when I've been speaking to her. It's so awesome because I feel exactely the same. It's like I've written it without remembering I did it. But I just know that I could never write as beautiful as you do.
To be honest I am sitting here and crying right now. It's so moving. Someone feels exactely the same way as I do. This is the best I've ever read. I will never forget this poem.
