I wish that you could see
beyond my shield of lies
that you could see who I really am
so I could drop this disguise
I carry with me a secret so great
a secret that I cannot show
a secret kept safe with me
maybe not for you to know
I keep it in the deepest and
darkest corner of my mind
it is locked up inside my head
because it's not for you to find
but still in my heart
I want to tell you
then I could stop this charade
if you only knew
I absolutely loved this poem...I know exactly how you feel...I've been hiding from myself for a long time and it hurts more and more everyday...Anyways, GREAT poem... You have a great passion for what you do and obviously a LOT of talent...Thanx for critiquing my stuff as well...
