Sunlight filters through the window,
Strikes you on the face;
I can see the pain that's in your eyes.
What's hidden within your heart,
I don't know;
You keep it locked away so deep inside
Can you feel the pain within my soul?
Feel it pass through me
As you walk on by;
Don't leave me alone,
standing here;
on my own.
I feel the rain as it's pounding down on me,
Fueling melancholy thoughts
of sad memories
of broken dreams and a hope for better days
you cry yourself to sleep each night,
and slowly slip away...
Still feeling alone,
shedding tears,
through nights long.
So many aches for the lives we hope to lead;
Substituting what we wish
in place of what what we need.
(There's) so much that I want to share with you,
be it strength or or a smiling face,
whatever helps you through
And you're not alone;
I've been here
All along...
Find me,
Please come find me
Break away from pain
because it's blinding
Oh, find me,
I pray you find me
place your hand in mine
and walk beside me,
Cause you're not alone,
and when you're near
I am strong.
You make me strong.
