Open the door

And there you are,

Standing with me

At the threshold



Time freezes for a moment

while I drink you in



By the gods you’re beautiful

Petite and standing on the step

Perfect in a perfect moment

While we both skip a beat

To stare



Then a smile, broad and knowing and loving you

Reflecting reflected your own loving me

Then both as one, pause passes

This first kiss, let’s get it started



Moving together, closing the gap

Eyes roll shut, as true lovers do

Lips closing, both in a rush

And bang

Oh darling, I’ve split your lip

No it’s ok, it’s just a nip

Chagrin, soon turns, to big grin



Shall we try that again

Yes let’s



And more gently this time

And more knowing

We kiss

And the kiss is tender

And touching

And warming

And deepening



And it’s right about, here abouts

that my head explodes

And I really can’t stand to go much further
