My how quickly things change
In a moment the world can turn
All things, emotions, rearrange
And watch out for the burn
Though how quickly the pain numbs
Just give it a little settle time
(and music and blow)
And quietly peace again comes
And we can write it in rhyme
I’m in the eye of my storm
All about my emotions careen
But here in my centre warm
Tis very calm, quite serene
Was it all just in dreams
A fantasy of what could be
That’s the way it now seems
A lesson in love for me
It’s nice to remember it’s out there
Not out of reach just not ready
My heart recalls being laid bare
But now my head I must steady
“Changes” the singer sings
And the world continues to turn

No sense the lost for to yearn
What will be will be
And what was was what
I’ll admit it beats me
But I know what I got
To her I wish all well
And to hers too good luck
