Streetstrummer
_____________
Eyes shut,fingers on guitar strings
The streetstrummer with his soul sings
Of the faraway lands he'll never see
With inward feelings his heart sings
Of the birds,bees,trees and springs
The wonderful things that nature brings
He's poor,yet wise - but stone blind
Pay him a rupee he'll call you kind

What a tribute to the musician trying to earn an honets living. I hope that many are generous to the poor man and that he makes anought to be able to have a roof over his head and a full belly. Bern

Respected Mate Mr Bern Sir.. I didn't expect you to read this .Thank you for your precious time. No ... he doen't have enough to live by but he has something like a shed to protect him from rain and sun.Yes he's blessed with frugal yet full-tummy meal twice a day.Oh Mr Bern.. so many of them. Some beg on local trains holding two small pieces of slate and striking them together for "music" singing praise of Gods & Goddesses of Hindu scriptures. Not that all of them have very appealing voices but at least the bored commuters hear God's name & are at peace.Off late they use some electronic contraption (a singalong) with music track. There is so much to see and so much yet to see in this huge huge country of a thousand cultures.India vibrates on its own frequency.~Your nutty mate of worldnext~
