Will

Golden fries on the platter

Tasty aroma drifting

Sagged moods lifting

Here comes the stuffed turkey!

Blood red sauce- gourmets delight

Sunday dinner at the home

Will the food end the family's plight?

The platters are licked clean

Younger children leave the dining room

Tomorrow oldman's Will shall be unsealed

In it everyone's fate is concealed

Low-toned discussions over cups of coffee scalding

Isn't it stressful for those who are almost balding?

Old grandpa loved the whole family

What then made him favour the girl Emily?

The neighbour's dull daughter.. lame in one leg

Her parents thinking of putting her to beg !

In a humble shanty lived the lame girl

The Will names her a "Silver Pearl"

The lawyer read the Will aloud

Three long pages written a month ago

Bound to hurt his family's ego

To Emily he gave all the money he had saved

Unexpected !!! .. the startling revealation

Old man didn't get respect from next generation!

Yes oh yes!! Bishu, very good

Yes oh yes!! Bishu, very good write here! I enjoyed. The old man wanted to make a difference for someone who he knew it would matter. Not just same old greedy, family members expecting something with 'hamds out'!!

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
