Was it the 70's ? I think so. A room was adorned with a large new ceiling fan. It was probably 52 ins ... Good breeze in warm, humid summers. In '79 we relocated and the fan accompanied us. We used it for 29 long years. Frequently it needed expensive repairs and guzzled electricity yet we never thought of taking it down from its home above our large dining table. Long years had passed and the speed of rotation decreased - people sitting with the fan switched on still sweated. Let's take it down we decided. A new fan was bought and put up. The old one we can't bear to give away because maybe someday someone may really need it. So this is it.

90 F today, tomorrow 91 F expected feels like 101 F - peeked outside briefly yesterday. Hot hot hot. Water plantings tomorrow - briefly. :D
