Witches on brooms
Fleeing across the sky
I can't see them
The sky is so dark
I can see sky lanterns
Sailing gracefully
They are lit by someone
Can't we light witch broom ?

Those May Have Been Turkeys
Turkeys migrate from Thanksgiving
and carry little lanterns in their beaks
to get to non-Christian countries
where they can breath free.
They look like witches on brooms
because they are moving so fast
that the images smear before
they reach earth.
Of course, there may be a few
defecting witches on brooms
among them. Lets hope
overweight birds and flaming
witches do not come down
the chimney instead of Santa.
