So.... pp friends & unfriends... All of you,I hope had a lovely Easter weekend. One of my PP poetfriends wrote in a comment about "coloured flour". So rightly described !!! That is called "Holi" in India. We put colours on one another [some colours take a long while to take off] When was it ? 24th March followed by Good Friday and Easter Sat'day & above all Easter Sunday. 23rd was "Doljatra" .... Being a part of the revelry followed by a strong highly intoxicating alkaloid "Bhang" followed by a long cold bath until the skin comes off or the soap is gone. Say.. for instance, a 10 litre bucket is filled with green liquid which is abundantly sprayed onto friends & relatives. [It's a nice way to get cool] Ladies have to put on thick inner wear [you know why] Boys and men don't care much even after a drench. I know of a young boy who waits a whole year to smear colours on his neighbours cheeks & drench her with watercolour.
Mutton curry and rice for lunch followed by visits to neighbours sharing sweets & greetings. Some like to end the day going to late night movies or taking a few swigs. Don't bother.... you could afford to sleep late because it was Saturday This was bishu-the-rubbish-monger burping after a long long time.
To Burp Or Not To Burp
