Why didn't you just put on a mask,
bust down the door and do a complete sweep of the room,
make everybody hit the floor
that stood in the way of you getting to me?
Why didn't you just tie me up,
put a blind fold over my eyes
and a gun to my head
and demanded that I give you my heart,
instead of creeping in slowly like a common thief?
Speaking to me with the softness of your voice,
Singing in my ear with the sweetest melodies
like the early birds on a nice summer morning,
Showing me the things that we both have in common,
Assuring me that above all, friendship will endure.
You stole what everyone else had to work so hard to get.
I guess not seeing you, was the mask.
Placing me in front of everyone else was sweeping the room.
The way you spoke kelp me tied up.
Getting to know you before seeing you was the blindfold,
And your friendship itself, demanded my heart.
You Common Thief.
HOLY COW.. .. .. you just stole my heart away. **here take it**
WOW. When I finish crying I will critique- Y ou always write with such emotion. I feel it. This was although a very sad topic, a very very beautiful poem.
Peace and Love-J
