My Itch aint worth a light.

  •                                 My Itch aint worth a light.
  • The itching just will not go away. It does not matter what I take to try to stop it, somewhere or other on my body; itch, itch, itch. I have tried antihistamine. No results. Alcohol cools the body but does not stop my itching. I do not know what to try next, yes I have tried warm baths followed by cold showers, no ill effects but whatever is causing me to itch is till on or in my body.
  • I thought that it was the medication that I must take. My Doctor tells me there is nothing in my tablets that would cause me to itch. I have tried the long four pronged wooden forks that are imported from somewhere abroad. Sometimes I can rub this fork up and down and get a few moments of peace from this terrible itch. It is driving me mad. What does one do when in the middle of company? It is sometimes worse in the evening. I dread going to bed, I know that the itch has a deep appreciation of my bed. Perhaps it is the linen sheets that it finds so attractive it cannot be the colour for my linen sheets are white.
  • I have tried changing the sheets more often it could be that I sweat or should I say perspire much during the sleeping period it is possible that the itch comes from my own perspiration. I had one period where I just could not stop scratching. Gloves did not help the gloves usually had a mind of their own and I often found them in the mornings tucked deep away in the bed sheets or even the blankets. My next move was to sew tapes to each glove and tie them to my wrists so that my fingernails could not harm me; deep red bloodstains are difficult to wash out of linen. Not even soaking the gloves and sheets in cold water satiated with common cooking salt did not help. It took a long time to get the sheets and gloves not to show red bloodstains.
  • I would be very grateful if some kind reader could help me in this my long time predicament. Scratching is a problem but itching is a bigger problem.
  • My eating habits have nothing to do with this my itching. I eat plenty of fresh fruit, green salads, kiwi fruits for the vitamin C and banana’s for strength. I eat very little meat; I hardly ever drink alcoholic drinks only sometimes a small glass of sherry and that is to see the New Year in and the Old Year out. I smoke like a chimney but then so do other people and they do not have this problem of itching. It cannot be from my cigarette consume. This I know because I once gave up smoking for two whole years. Then through my not having anything to do especially with my hands. I stupidly started to smoke again. It is a problem too but not so bad as my itch. If you can help please reply to this small prose which is really a plea for help. Bern

Not smiling Ostromate but laughing aloud like a buffoon

LaughingThis awful Indimate recollected a gruesome itch which affected him in a Steel Town way back in 1975-76.The itch had fallen in love with me for over 3 weeks. No sleep no peace only itch itch and itch.It went after medications and (I think) 5 injections of Wyeselone. That youthful love with itch lives forever in my dormant mind.A very vivid account I must say.By the way.. hearty congratulations that this site put forth one of your posts as popular choice. My mind plays tricks when I try to choose which is the best of yours.~Your forever Indimate & fly~Laughing
