Back Garden.
My garden the one at the back of the house,
Has been taken over by a tiny wee mouse.
What ever in the ground I plant or sew,
He thinks that it is his you know.
He invites all kind of creatures for tea.
a hedgehog, a duck and a small fairy.
They eat my peas and the runner beans,
And all are dressed in pale blue jeans.
The fairy is a real good story-teller,
If I listened to him I could write a best seller.
The duck waddles around eating my flowers,
My old watering can they use for showers.
The hedgehog is covered in small fleas,
For this the fairy does him awfully tease.
They run around with my wheelbarrow,
On board they have my prize ripe marrow.
On the lawn the duck has eaten all the grass,
To mow it now would be a big farce.
If they all went away on the morrow,
My life would only be full of sorrow.
Just to annoy me the fairy his wand did wave.
Now the hedgehog has had a wet shave.
The duck has flown off over the hedge,
My wheelbarrow now looks like a sledge.
hedgehog, duck a fairy and a mouse.
All have helped brighten up my house.
As for my garden I will have you know,
Well next year it will grow and grow.
