There's no rain.
Not one drop falls,
despite the low hanging clouds,
the deafening thunder,
and the lingering scent of ozone
from so many crashes of lightning.
There should be rain.
Without that rain,
something will spark,
and the fire will consume
all that stands here...
And then the drought ends;
Life blooms!
Juices running down my chin,
savory and sweet;
natural nectar,
skin and flesh;
simply delectable!
Eating a peach!
Devouring that peach!
Ah, the joy of eating a peach...
And now,
I want to swim;
to feel you flow
around me,
over me,
your tides
guiding me,
feel your currents
become the medium
of my being,
suspend me,
envelope me,
and be one
with me.
