In our past,
termination,
the cessation of power
resulted in a flicker,
a flash, a bar,
drawing down to a point
that slowly faded,
and even after you thought
all was gone,
you could still
perceive it;
an afterglow,
a ghostly image remained,
painted there
if you cared to look;
until it slowly faded,
waiting for you
to say goodbye.
Now,
with one touch,
instantly,
nothingness
remains.
It is difficult to identify
It is difficult to identify what you are referring to here because for myself, nothing is ever lost. It is just that my choice to put energy into it changes with the changes that come my way. I have no control over the changes that come my way. If rain falls, I cannot stop the skies. I can only choose to follow the sun, even if the only sun I see is when I close my eyes. Would love to have more insight into this write...but then, I do love a good puzzle ;-)

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

the title says it all ;-)

Always hard to say good bye.
Always hard to say good bye. That thin green line can only stretch so many miles up and down mountain peaks and valleys. There's never nothingness. The spirit always remains. Hugss
