and intertwined my soul would become
when I embarked on this journey.
Very few things have given me pause,
or made me turn from my course,
but had I known how easily my
walls would be scaled after so long,
how defenseless I was when
facing someone who wasn't against me,
I might have never crossed your bridge.

Just riddles the brain with so many analogies and visions, bridge to tarabithia, the bridge over troubled waters, the the bridge between earth and heaven, the bridfrom over a great chasm... A warrior nrave fighting for what they believe in after losing hope for the millionth time. battle wearyness fallen away, open to a spring in your step. Ssmoothie! I love you! I thought this was just a make up poem that made her smile & I hadn't written anything I liked lately, so I posted it. Although i can never do her justice, I guess that's what comes from having amazing inspiration! ;-)

Very Few Things Have Given Me Pause
Id walk through a desert to find a line like that one...truth, what you think is just okay, others will find a gem inside and wear it like a healing stone. The shock of the moment (pause) the find unexpected (pause) a blessing disguised and almost missed (pause). Love the progression and the joy at the end ~~A~~
