Forgotten (Reflection#3)

Folder:
Skipping Stones

I look at my
reflection
and see things
I might have been.
As days slip slowly
into years,
options decline.
When I am gone,
my name is -
Forgotten.

I found this humorous - not funny ha ha
but funny I can relate
concepts are truly humorous if you can step outside them
once outside - you realize they are also mutable

Legacy

Never to be forgotten - well, eventually perhaps 2-3 hundred years, then a lull, then a rediscovery of Beavis's literary works - a comeback for another century or 2 - It's a writer's destiny (if the world lasts, the writing will survive). Just retread this one and felt my mortality. Well said. ~allets~

;-)

Perhaps, in this age, nothing will fade away. I wonder what words the sum of all our "culture" will speak to those in a couple of centuries. (I've got to think that Miles Davis & Eric Clapton will transcend the generations. ;-)
