I heard the cries of the innocent lives taken by
violence, violence enacted in school.
The sound of the gun shot, a blast, one powerful blast
took the lives of fellow classmates and teachers.
People running, running for protection
from something that happened so fast.
It happened so fast that it couldn't be seen.
One goes down, then another.
Soon you are the only one left, the only one.
And you are shot down too. Gone.
Everything is messed up, nothing is right here
In a world of hate and discrimination.
Violence in schools must stop, stop for our own sake
The sake of others, the ones we love
Hating, Killing, Murder, Hurt. It will be stopped.
One day when we open our eyes.
