What am I thankful for?
The question rings in the silence,
as I begin to ponder
all the possible answers. Hence,
as the question rings in the silence,
it might seem that I am unthankful.
All the possible answers come to mind, hence,
I realize my bowl is full.
It might seem that I am unthankful,
at times, when I forget to pause and say “thanks.”
But I realize that luck has naught to do with my bowl being full.
It is to the Lord that I owe all my thanks.
At times, I may forget to pause and say “thanks,”
and those times, I deeply regret,
for it is to the Lord that I owe all my thanks.
Every day to be thanksgiving, I know I should let.
All those times I didn’t say thanks, I now deeply regret,
as I begin to ponder
Every day being thanksgiving; as them, I know I should let.
So, in all honesty, it is everything that I am thankful for?
