The Beckoning of sin’s deceitfulness

calls to me from the darkness,

longing to embrace my soul

in death’s solemn grip.

Temptation is beginning to take its toll,

I think I am beginning to slip.



Lord, help me, for I’m beginning to fall,

I shall not forfeit it all.

I do not want to give in.

Please take it away,

I beseech You, please rebuke this temptation.

This is what I sincerely pray.
