Shee Picnic

I sat in my cottage with the candle burning low
the hillocks were lively with a faint eerie glow

Just after sunset, but before the moonrise
The Dryads all came on backs of butterflies

The Sea pixies and Selkies from the deep lochs they came
Baring their breasts with not a wee bit of shame

Tiny tables were set upon mushroom caps
With spiced saffron and willow tree sap

There was sweet frosted pies with flaky honey crust
Decorated lovely with a sparkle like dust

The site that I saw was charming and mystic
I just got to witness my first faerie picnic!

Author's Notes/Comments:

NOTE: Normally, think if I would write about something of this matter it would be a little darker or mysterious is a better word, but I wrote this for my sister who likes the tea cup sitting wind chime faeries.

I thought you might like

I thought you might like that.

This doesn't have a title, I wrote after a trip to Scotland:

verdant knoll moss green
ghostlike hush; a fairy mound
I smirk, this is home
